Robert may be still a little under the weather: he slept in until almost 8 on Christmas morning! Then we ran downstairs to see that Santa had figured out our kitty proofing technique and had covered up the presents to keep the wrapping intact for us to open. Santa also re-covered the bit of cookie he left (he ate most of the cookies).
We checked out our stockings, then the unwrapping began in earnest. Robert had lots of cool gifts: we've played two games of Totally Gross already; he's picking up the harmonica, and enjoying his new WII games. Sarah got some new wine glasses and David has some new computer toys.
We headed in to the Botanic Garden and the trains on Boxing Day. We were not the only ones to have that idea, but the wait was worth it (and it was a nice sunny line outside).
And Robert topped off Boxing Day with some Myth Buster-esque experiments with baking soda and vinegar (Eleanor gave us a nice Myth Busters present for Hanukkah). See: Christmas preparations and Our NJ trip as well. |
