Capt. Thomas Bennett Tyler b. 8-27-1820, Norway S. C. d 10-1-1874 at Wagener, S. C. He married Rachael Elizabeth Corbitt b. 5-17-1824 at Salley, S. C. Rachael dies Columbia, S. C. 5-27-1908. Thomas Bennett and Rachael Elizabeth married 5-5-1841 in Salley, S. C. Both are buried in Tyler Cemetery out from Wagener, S. C. Their home was across the road. East of the cemetery. Rachael Corbitt was born in Orangeburg District in the Salley-Perry area (now Aiken County) and was the daughter of John Corbitt III and Rachael Prothro, who was John's second wife. Rachael E. was called "Little Grandma" because she was so small. Children of Thomas Bennett and Rachael Elizabeth Corbitt Tyler were:

Hiram LeCroy at her home on 8-19-1886 to Matthew Ready who was a member of Rocky Spring Baptist Church and is buried at New Holland Community, Aiken County, S. C.
Annie Elizabeth Tyler b. 7-27-1844 Wagener, S. C. area d. 11-20-1896. Married at home May 1863, by Rev. Hiram LeCroy, Jesse Edward Johnson b. 1-3-1839 near Wagener, S. C. d. 9-10-1918 near Orangeburg, S. C. Jesse was the son of Jesse and Judith Toney Johnson. Anne and Jesse are buried in Tyler Family Cemetery out from Wagener, S. C.
John William Tyler b. 12-12-1845 near Wagener, S. C. d. 5-25-1889. Married in 1866 Susan Emily Baily b. 12-16-1846 Edisto or Wardmalaw Island, S. C. d. 8-8-1898. This couple is buried in Tyler Family Cemetery out from Wagener, S. C. Susan Emily Baily was the daughter of Thomas Osborne Baily and Emily Amanda Jenkins of Edisto Island, S. C.
Thomas Bennett Tyler, Jr. b. 2-2-1843 near Wagener, S. C. d. 3-24-1924. Married in 1867 Rosa Ann Salley b. 7-8-1853 d. 10-11-1924. Rosa was born on her father's plantation at head of Goodland Creek, Orangeburg District, S. C. and was the daughter of Jacob William Salley and Almedia Peeples, who are buried at Gin Branch Cemetery East of Salley, S. C. Thomas and Rosa Salley Tyler are buried at Tyler Cemetery out from Wagener, S. C.
Norris Tyler b. 1-28-1852 d. 2-17-1901. He was born out from Wagener, S. C. Married (date unknown) Annie C. Jones b. 1-14-1859 d. 12-20-1910. Annie was the daughter of James Dempsy Jones and Mary E. David, Norris and Annie Jones Tyler, as well as her parents are buried in Jones Cemetery off Hwy. 389 between Perry S. C. and Sawyerdale Community, near Orangeburg County Line.
John Anderson Tyler b. 8-3-1853 d. 12-9-1905. He was born out of Wagener, S. C. He married Ada Corbitt in 1877. Ada was born 7-12-1859 and died 12-2-1900. Her parents were ????. Couple is buried in Tyler Cemetery out from Wagener, S. C.
