Robert was a maybe a little serious about this whole new school thing this morning. But I really like
the transition from serious (with a touch of silly) standing on our steps with his lunch bag to
sitting at the table with play dough and potato masher. When Sarah tried to pick him up, he didn't
want to leave his new friends and bikes and trikes. We think we have another winner with this school.

Later in the month, after a couple weeks to get used to the new routine,
Robert and I headed down to the Farmers Market while Sarah did a bit of shopping. Who should we run into but a couple
of the old gang: Ella and Hannah. They had a mini-runion on the stage with all the other kids running around. And I
missed the chance to get a picture, but even our neighbor, Audrey Joy stopped by. It was the perfect day for a visit
to the market.

We rounded out the month with a trip to the New Jersey shore.
|
Sarah and Robert drove up to
Long Beach Island,
New Jersey Monday morning to meet up with her dad, Elle, Oriana, Tom and Sebastian. I haven't saved up any
vacation time yet so I had to wait until Thursday evening to train up and meet them. While the weather was not
as spectatular as it was last year, we did get to play on the beach.
And we visited the Atlantic City Aquarium (a good indoor activity),
and clearly managed to wear the boys out (Robert did eat a little bit of dinner before falling asleep). Plans are
afoot for next year, but perhaps a bit earlier so we don't have to take Robert out of school.
