As a birthday surprise for David, Sarah took Robert to her friend Tony's for some more portraits. Tony, of Anthony Marill Photography, did a great job (as he always does). This was a very nice surprise and two of these prints now hang in David's office. The photo shoot started with trying to get Robert to look happy and dignified in a chair. His chair skills are still a work in progress though...

So that valiant attempt to teach Robert to sit up was abandoned and they moved on to a pose more natural to a 4 month old...
This was working a lot better, but while he's not "officially" teething, Robert is drooling a bit, so that was the next challenge. I can well imagine Tony's calls for "MAKEUP."
Then there is question of getting and keeping Robert's attention, and a smile on his face. Sarah was working hard with one of Robert's toys to keep him focused on the hard work at hand.
This is the money shot; Robert captured at his finest by Tony.
Then Sarah was called out from behind the camera to pose with Robert (and to help him cheat in the casual slouch shot below).
Mother and son having a grand ole time...
