Robert and I started off on a simple trip to recycle some plastic grocery bags. We ended up ensuring the Old Town playgrounds were not washed away by the 10+ inches of rain we've had in the last few days. | ||||||||
Both of the playgrounds on our walk seemed none the worse for wear -- a bit wet perhaps. And we made good use of both the umbrella and the tunnel (seen here from 2004) under the big park. The monsoons have not finished raining on us yet... Old Town is once again feeling the effects of being on the waterfront -- or in the waterfront. | ||||||||

The tobacco shop's mascot is ready for the coming floods; the river is supposed to peak tomorrow. I don't know when high tide is... | ||||||||
