The beginning of March saw our baby gates go up as Robert started to be a lot more mobile.
We couldn't find a pressure mount gate wide enough to for the opening between the living room and hallway,
so we build some pedestals for either side of the opening to mount the gate against. Two weeks into, it
seems to be holding Robert in -- Zip drive can just fit between the boards. If you look closely in these
two photos (or click them for a larger version) you can see Robert playing behind the blue pillow in the
foreground.

After (between) the light March snowfalls, we met Mike and Ciaran at the Blue park for some serious swing action.
Robert and Sarah also showed off Robert's new found joy with the slides (a trick he learned from Ciaran) -- no photos of that
as it's a two adult process at the moment: one thrower, one catcher and Robert in between.

And we topped off the park trip with some fun on the bouncy chairs.
|
Then we head back to Mike and Ciaran's house where Cecily had been working magic in the kitchen.
The two boys get along great and really don't need much adult help when playing.

Of course, an Sarah is very helpful when the boys need a flying school bus to help out in their games....

Chris stopped by with his Harley (it being a being a very nice vernal equinox this year).
So Robert got his first motorcycle experience (not moving, plats note).
Our theory is, when he asks for one, we haul out one of these
photos, and tell, he already tried that and didn't like it.

A hard day of riding really takes it out you, no matter what your age.
I thought it got awfully quiet, awfully quick this evening....

Robert had a bit of a tummy ache when Sarah put him to bed the next night and so she used his teddy bear as prop.
Clearly that was a winning choice!
|
Perhaps March 29th will be the day we remember discovering we are really in trouble.
Robert (with help finding something to hold on to) happily standing on his own, proud as could be.
