We packed Robert up in his car seat, jumped on the Metro to National Airport, and Robert took his first plane ride.
Sarah, Robert and I flew to Greenville via Atlanta to celebrate Hank's 50th birthday. Robert was a great traveling
companion. He slept a lot, ate a lot and smiled a lot all the way down there and in his temporary home:
The lovingly restored cabin. (Where we dressed him in his party finest.)

Of course there was a crew running Section IV (not too motley looking either).
You probably want to click the group shot to see a version almost large enough to recognize:
(standing in back) Sarah, Robert (OK, not standing), David, Neener, John and Margie Hicks, Brian and Maria,
Mary, Eric Weiss, Hank (birthday boy), Sally (surprise party planner extraordinaire); seated are: Tracy,Helen, Aaron,
Steve, Tina, Tom and Scout (not sure about the puppy-beast's name).

Helen, Aaron, Sarah, Robert, Margie Hicks and I took Robert to his first view of Bull Sluice after the river trip took off downstream.

Then, Helen, Aaron, Sarah, Robert and I opted for a picnic at Woodall Shoals. The weather was outstanding: blue skies and lots
of sun (and the river level was a respectable 1.7).

Billy and Kimberly let Sally use their home as party central and it was just lovely.

Sarah, Robert and I toured Billy's ecco friendly memorial preserve
along Ramsey Creek (which the AARP Bulletin covered last
July/August)
on our way back to the airport.

David and Robert took advantage of the beautiful Halloween weather to watch the boats down on the Potomac.
