We made the first of what I expect to be many trips to Great Falls today. We were supposed to be headed to Florida for a conference Sarah was to attend, but hurricane Wilma was looking too much like it might hit St. Petersburg. I think Robert enjoyed his consolation prize. He got to climb on boulders, play with rocks, pick up leaves and examine sticks -- what more could a 15 month old want?
And of course, he got to look at the river. Not too many kayakers today, and too cold for Robert to stick his toe in.
A very pleasant afternoon was had by all.
We finished out October with another fun time on Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray: the Halloween Parade. Robert went as Super Robert, complete with cape; Sarah was the spirit of Mardi Gras, and I was "the Photographer". They blocked off several blocks and led the parade with a fire engine. Josh was a cowboy, Taylor was a witch and Romero was a pumpkin. We all had a lot of fun
The turn out was impressive, but not surprising considering the perfect weather.
