I've been sorely remiss in taking advantage of Sarah's photos. But with the Christmas break and our low-key plans, here is a collection. Starting with Robert at the Farmer's Market early in the month during a warm spell. Someone brought bubbles and Robert and the other kids had a great time chasing them. |

Chris came by for a visit (and to scare Sarah tossing Robert around). The blur is Robert on his way up (I think).
Suz stopped by for a visit and to pick up her Christmas present from Robert: the largest yellow jacket seen this side of Hollywood. Suz is a huge fan of the Zoo's insect house, where she has volunteered for years.
There have been many block towers of late, this one being special as it was contructed to hold one of Robert's ballons -- he remains a fan of ballons and we found a gem in the copy of The Red Ballon we brought back from New Jersey.
David Z. stopped by to hang out with Robert and make sure his Blackberry form is up to snuff.
Sarah and Robert ran off to the mall to get this photo with Santa for my birthday.
Aunt Janek stayed with us for a couple days -- giving Sarah and me a night to go to the movies. We saw Syriana, which was very good and very creepy considering who we have in the White House and some of the latest revelations about his actions.
Nanette and Taylor stopped by early in the Christmas season. Robert enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper roll and Nanette borrowed Sarah's camera for the photo below... | Taylor enjoyed Robert's Great Grandfather Fred's rocking chair -- his sharing skills have not lost out to his possessiveness -- yet.
As the weather started to get colder, we checked the fit of Robert's snow suit -- it was pretty loose last year. He's grown a lot, but it must have been really loose.
Sarah helped out at Robert's day care and watched his class while his teachers went to their Christmas party. Apparently it was not hardship duty as the kids were asleep most of the time. It did give her a good chance to see that they still seem to be doing well by Robert and the rest of the kids.
The folks that I work with gave me a very nice gift that we all celebrated on the way home from work. It may seem odd (it does seem odd)
but National Airport has a very nice Legal Seafood that we go right by on our commute. Not at all what you think of when thinking about
airport food. No exposure to the elements getting to and from the airport metro station and they are used to rushed diners (like when Robert
he's hungry). He does love his corn on the cob... Robert wanted to check out the tree on our way home.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, TSA! Robert helped with some of the final wrapping paper we needed. His teachers pointed out how much he likes art and Sarah found a huge roll of paper, so he's having a blast with his crayons and markers.
