Now that Robert has a rocking horse at home, the Smithsonian's Carousel looks very
inviting. Robert was not completely sure he was having a good time, but mostly he was. He was a little worried
(and actually, I was a little worried as I dug my camera out while I was holding on to Robert and
we were whizzing around at some impressive speed).

Late on a Gray Wednesday, Robert and I shared the horses with
a little girl about Robert's age and her grandfather. She did not like it nearly so much as Robert did. I'm sure
we'll be back many times... (Perhaps one of these times, I'm bring my bigger camera -- it might not be as confused
by the light conditions, Robert's hat is much more yellow than green.)

And the carousel is next door to the Hirshhorn, so we passed through the sculpture garden on our way to the
metro stop. Robert was much more interested in the ducks than the sculptures. And the ducks were clearly
pretty used to Robert sized humans.

The following weekend, Harry and Elle came down to check up on Robert's progress.

The weather they brought with them from New Jersey was spectacular. We spent all Saturday morning outside, and
Robert slept all Saturday afternoon. In the morning we went down to the Farmer's Market, met Harry and Elle on the way
back, took them by the Whole Foods and then to the Blue Park.

Did I mention that the weather was fantastic?

While Robert was napping, Rob Alison stopped by; he last visited when Robert was just weeks old.
