As a geographer by training, I personally believe, that this is the funniest thing I have seen. This year, in America. (And you all thought I was exaggerating when I told you stories of my FSU students!!!!!!!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZABeQ5vkpXM |

Analogies anyone? So, I know a lot of parents think their kids are smart and we’re guilty of that ourselves. I’ll skip my wonder about the “napkin” incident and move on to Robert’s question of the night. At dinner, we passed the milk glass around, then we swapped one glass for another glass. Then Robert looked down at his dessert and asked what the difference was between swapping and sharing. Don’t know about you but I was pretty impressed by his efforts to differentiate between the two. (I said one was trading one thing for the other, while sharing was splitting the same thing between two people. –I think I’m right about that.) Gotta like a kid who’s going to take the trouble to understand which word is the right one to use like that. –(Who’s my grubby little boy☺)

Two Quotes Two quotes: (warning - perhaps of interest to grand and god parents only.) Spurred on by Uncle Dan’s tendency to modify the refrain to “Who let the dogs out? (me me me me)” we use that phrase a lot. We had a rare break from our organic, home-made -three color dinners tonight and indulged in a feast from 5-Guys. (In my own defense, I did provide, via David, a few Brocolli spears for Robert, who preferred them to his fried hot dog.) Anyway. Those who know Five Guys know that the only way to serve the obscene quantity of fries one receives is to rip open the brown paper bag and spread it out on the table. The scene of French Fry devastation was almost complete, when Robert reached out, gathered up the brown bits and sang “Who gets the last crumb? Me Me Me Me.) I just about fell off my chair. Then in a side whisper I asked David if it was just because I was his mother, or whether Robert was in fact exceedingly cute - when Robert answered saying, “I’m cute!” Yes. I think he is. |
