We headed up to New Jersey for the traditional Thanksgiving pool tournament. Ian took on Harry while Sarah and Evan played a game (Ian and Harry played 3 games in the same time). Robert even had a chance to play a little bit (but we're not allowed to mention that as the clubhouse forbids anyone under 12 playing on the billiards tables).
Elle and Oriana were slaving away while we were out out playing. The dinner was great: Ian, Evan, Oriana, Tom, Luca, Sebastian, the Selwoods and our Alexandria contingent joined Harry and Elle at a huge table for 13. The food was too tasty to stop and take pictures, sorry. I'm sure all the hard work playing pool had something to do with the damage we managed to do to three pies...
After the pool tournament, Ian and Evan headed to the ballroom to practice on the grand piano. Harry and I listened, Sarah and Robert danced.
Some of the dancing was a little energetic...
After all the pool and dancing, Robert was ready for some screen time; he managed to borrow Sebastian's iPad. On our way back south, we stopped in Philadelphia at the Franklin Institute, which was lots of fun. They had all sorts of hands on exhibits and this building room with foam blocks and giant Tinker Toys. And watching the automatron draw was pretty interesting -- the presenters showed off the gears and cams that made it draw (and move it's head around).
We even caught a 3D movie, Mummies, while we were there. Lot of fun and well worth the trip.
